Roberto Costanza wins EY Young Tax Professional of the Year title in Luxembourg. He joined EY Luxembourg as assistant in September 2022 in the department of International Tax and Transaction Services. Beatriz Capote takes second place, attached to the Transfer Pricing department. The two finalists will have the honor of representing Luxembourg in the international final in January 2024.

This international competition aims to reward and encourage the next generation of tax leaders, helping them develop their professional skills and launch their careers. It’s open to students and young professionals with less than 18 months of experience in taxation, offering a unique opportunity to showcase their knowledge in management, taxation, law, and technology. Participants also gain valuable experience exchange with professionals from diverse backgrounds. This event manifests EY’s vision of promoting the growth and recognition of emerging talents in taxation.

In the first round, participants were asked to prepare and present a case study to test their technical skills and business knowledge. The integration of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) considerations was also a key element, highlighting the importance of these issues in the international tax context.

The 10 finalists, including Roberto Costanza, will compete for the world title at the international final in March 2024, during which the next EY Young Tax Professional of the Year will be named.
