The ICDL Certification, the international standard for digital competences since 1996, certifies the digital skills of the candidate and proves that he or she can use various software with confidence and effectiveness.

ICDL addresses everyone who works with a computer : employees, students, jobseekers, businesses in the broadest sense. With ICDL, individuals, organisations and society in general are empowered with the necessary skills in a continuously evolving, digital landscape.

Aware of the value for both, candidates and actual or future employers, of a certification proving the digital know how on the resume and in the daily business, the Luxembourg Lifelong Learning Centre, the accredited ICDL Test Centre in Luxembourg, currently offers 14 modules in 3 languages (EN, FR, DE) in 3 different fields : Office applications, Communication and Design.

The ICDL is a modular certification, meaning that the available modules can be selected and combined freely to perfectly suit the individual needs of the candidate or companies. Thanks to the e-learning mode, the candidate is independent throughout the exam preparation process and the training is kept flexible.

The certification programmes enable individuals and organisations to assess, build and certify their competences in the use of computers and digital tools to the globally recognised ICDL standard. The certification occurs in three steps :

Assess

existing knowledge with the “Diagnostic” test.

Build

competences through the training with the Adaptive Learning Tool (ALT), a practice-oriented learning tool.

Certify

with the successful passing of the actual certification test.

Candidates that register for the certification can access the Moodle-LLLC platform at any time from wherever they wish, given a computer with Internet access is available. Via this platform, the candidate has access to all learning material and tools to prepare for the certification test under the best conditions.

The final certification test takes place at the easily accessible LLLC building at Bonnevoie, in front of the Rotondes and test sessions are organized twice a month.

The test result is immediately shown : the test is considered successfully passed if the candidate has achieved a score of at least 75%.

Starting October 2023, two packages will be offered via LLLC.lu : The Single Pack (1 module) and the Mixed Pack (4 modules).
