Women Excel in STEM (WeSTEM+) is excited to announce the launch of the BI Academy, a transformative 12-week Business Intelligence program starting on March 8th, 2025. This initiative, introduced by Girls in Tech Luxembourg and continued by WeSTEM+, aims to provide a gateway for non-technical individuals – especially women and underrepresented groups – seeking to transition into dynamic IT roles such as Business Analyst, Data Analyst, and Business Intelligence Specialist.

The BI Academy is tailored to individuals with little to no technical background, offering a structured curriculum that covers the fundamentals of Business Intelligence. Through this program, participants will gain valuable skills in data gathering, analysis, and interpretation, building a strong portfolio through hands-on projects that reflect real-world applications.

Designed with the Luxembourg job market in mind, the academy prepares participants for high-demand roles in the tech industry. The technical training will be delivered online, while the first and final sessions will be conducted in person at the Digital Learning Hub. In addition to technical expertise, the program emphasizes the development of soft skills critical to success in the tech industry, including public speaking, communication in the data field, and innovative data-driven problem-solving.

The BI Academy is sponsored by Innovative Initiatives, part of the Department of Media, Connectivity and Digital Policy (SMC) of the Ministry of State, and the Digital Learning Hub. As part of WeSTEM+’s mission to reduce barriers to entry in the IT sector, the program offers tuition-free admission to all selected participants, reflecting a shared commitment to promoting diversityand inclusion within the tech industry.

With only 20 seats available, interested candidates are encouraged to apply by February 14th, 2025 to secure their spot in this invaluable learning opportunity.
