Pictet Funds (Europe) S.A, the investment fund distribution arm of Pictet & Cie, is the latest fund manager to join the EMX Message System going live on 6th of October.

Pictet Funds is the wholly owned mutual funds distribution arm of the Pictet Group and was established in 1997. Pictet Funds distributes over 90 investment funds totalling $65 billion (€42 billion) in assets, substantially all of which are managed by Pictet Asset Management.

Paul Gaston, Head of Sales, UK at Pictet Funds said: ‘Being added to the EMX Message System will allow Pictet Funds to offer straight through processing for customers purchasing their products via platforms. Pictet has become the latest European asset manager to join the EMX Message System because it is a user-friendly system which allows us to further support our customers. We look forward to a long relationship with EMXCo which will bring benefit to all parties.’

‘The number of cross border participants joining the EMX Message System has grown significantly this year and I am delighted to welcome Pictet on board and look forward to seeing further major non UK institutions join in the future’, Jane Sidnell, Head of continental Europe at EMXCo, said.

The EMX Message System has become established as the standard for straight though processing of funds orders and in 2004 as part of the drive to automate the European funds industry, EMXCo opened their Luxembourg office.

The EMX Message System currently routes over 1.6 million messages a month and around €237 million of orders each working day.
