On 13 January 2011, the Luxembourg Stock Exchange and IBM Luxembourg held a seminar that deals with the future of the financial markets. Hosted at the Luxembourg Stock Exchange, the guest speaker at this event was Suzanne Duncan, World Wide Financial Market Industry Leader of the IBM Institute for Business Value (IBV).

The IBM Institute for Business Value, IBM’s research think tank, surveys on a regular basis executives, investors, government officials to understand their views about the future of the financial markets industry. By understanding weak signals and early indicators of industry transformation, IBM can share its insights to help industries to be ahead of the pack. The results of these surveys are published in the IBV-studies.
The seminar was a result of initiatives taken by Michel Maquil, President & CEO of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange and Pascal Lanser, Country General Manager of IBM Luxembourg who shared their efforts in order to bring insight and thought leadership on trends in the financial markets.
