The 6th edition of the “Golden-i Gala & Awards” took place on Thursday 23 May at the Abbaye de Neumunster, bringing together more than 650 IT professionals from across Luxembourg’s business community.
This year’s event saw Eric Lippert, IT Director at Lombard International Assurance S.A., named Chief Information Officer of the year. The award recognises his considerable contribution to implementing the technology changes linked to Lombard’s Strategic Development Plan announced in 2012.
Eric was elected following a voting process conducted in several stages involving the IT community in Luxembourg, and his nomination was endorsed by a jury comprising members of the advisory board of CIONET Luxembourg, APSI, EuroCloud and ITnation. The award was presented by Philippe Pierre and Serge Bertoldo (Partners at PwC Luxembourg), as well as Emilie Mounier, Managing Director of Makana.
Lombard CEO Matt Moran said: “This is a fantastic achievement, reflecting Eric’s hard work and commitment to the delivery of our strategic development initiatives. It is also a testament to the progress being made by the broader Lombard team in achieving our three main goals: quality and relevance of our solutions to partners and their clients; excellence in servicing and operations; and building deep, preferred-status relationships with our private banking and wealth management distribution partners.”
