HL7 Luxembourg with the support of PricewaterhouseCoopers is undertaking a major survey in order to understand the needs for HL7 standards trainings. Based on the results of the survey, HL7 Luxembourg will provide a pragmatic tailor-made trainings offer, facilitating the use of HL7 standards in health related IT projects and services.

Health Level Seven International is one of several American National Standards Institute (ANSI) -accredited Standards Developing Organizations (SDOs) operating in the health-care arena.

HL7 provides standards for interoperability that improve care delivery, optimize work-flow, reduce ambiguity and enhance knowledge transfer among all of our stakeholders, including health-care providers, government agencies, the vendor community, fellow SDOs and patients.

HL7 in Luxembourg

As a non-profit organization, HL7 aims to promote public health-care and social security. It aims to promote research and development, to spread and further develop the HL7 standard protocols for data transmission in healthcare and social security according to the legal requirements of data protection.

The Association supports ongoing connectivity trends in medical informatics on the basis of HL7 and similar international standards. It organizes training sessions and further education events, publishes information leaflets and promotes similar measures that serve its purpose. These standards will be adapted to the current situation in the Luxembourg health-care sector. In this context, the Association promotes interoperability by standard compliant solutions.

The Association coordinates the interests of the Luxembourg HL7 users, maintains contacts to HL7 groups in other countries, to scientific organizations and other actors in the area of health-care informatics. Dr. Stefan Benzschawel (Photo) is the HL7 Luxembourg president.

eHealth / ICT solution providers, Hospitals, Healthcare consultancy and Government bodies are warmly invited to fill the HL7 Training Survey 2012.
