APSI launches its 2011 Luxembourg ICT Survey

October 21, 2011
The promotion of the Luxembourg ICT sector abroad has been identified as a top priority for the main Luxembourg ICT industry associations regrouped under “ICTluxembourg”. This was confirmed during a seminar on “Positioning and promoting the Luxembourg ICT sector abroad” which took place in May 2011 with the participation of the Minister of the Economy and Foreign Trade Jeannot Krecké. All partners agreed that the private sector, mainly through its trade associations, should play a more active part and support the efforts of the government, and more precisely of Luxembourg for Business proud to promote ICT in both:
– promoting and positioning Luxembourg as a hub for key ICT industries
– supporting local ICT companies in selling their products and services abroad.
In order to start working on this common agenda, it was agreed with Luxembourg for Business proud to promote ICT and the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade that federations should consult their respective members to learn more about their ideas in this respect and which foreign markets and/or trade events to focus on. This information will help to develop further the existing promotion tools and to improve the organization of the trade events abroad.
APSI invite all stakeholders from the ICT industry to participate in this exercise. Please read and complete the attached ICT Industry Questionnaire and return it back by mail to the APSI (Fernand Thill, fthill@pt.lu). The deadline for participating in this ICT industry survey is the 3rd of November 2011. Any information received will be considered as strictly confidential!
