Startup Grind Luxembourg Hosts Hubert Schumacher, a serial entrepreneur in Luxembourg : 7th june 7:00pm Nyuko.

Before getting appointed as CIO for Luxaviation Group, Hubert founded q-leap SA in 2012. In less than four years, as CEO, he has brought q-leap SA into the leadership rank of software quality assurance and testing in Luxembourg.

Prior to that in 2000, Hubert co-founded M-PLIFY S.A, an application service provider, offering mobile notification services. Hubert S. also launched ZAP in 2007, the leading Luxembourgish social network: zap.lu. He also co-founded atHome.lu in 2000 (today part of the international REA group based in Australia), and Synapse SA in 1998, a job-recruitment portal acquired by TMP Worldwide (Monster). In addition, Hubert Schumacher was also director of its companies.

Graduated with a diploma in electrical engineering and information technology from the Technische Universität München, Hubert Schumacher started his career in 1990 as a Sales support engineer for Siemens AG in Munich. After this, he held the position of head of voice services department for the P&T Luxembourg. It was only in 1998, that he began sailing a ship on the stormy waters of the pre-2000 Internet bubble, working in parallel for the Ministry of State Luxembourg as head of technical branch.

Thirst for entrepreneurial spirit combined with his creative talent, Hubert Schumacher has been dedicated to start up new business companies for the past 18 years. Like many successful entrepreneurs, his attention is divided among a variety of projects, and that’s the way he likes it. One of the first management lessons that we can learn with Hubert Schumacher is to know how to give responsibilities to talented people.
