Yapital Belongs to the Industry’s Best in 2014

On the 5th of June at around 9pm it was certain: Yapital officially belongs to this year’s best in the industry. During a festive gala on the Rhine, the Association of the German Internet Industry awarded the “eco Internet Award 2014” in the category “Mobile” to the first European cross-channel payment solution in the foyer of the KölnSKY. It is a huge honor and an incredible affirmation for the entire Yapital team.

On the 5th of June at around 9pm it was certain: Yapital officially belongs to this year’s best in the industry. During a festive gala on the Rhine, the Association of the German Internet Industry awarded the “eco Internet Award 2014” in the category “Mobile” to the first European cross-channel payment solution in the foyer of the KölnSKY. It is a huge honor and an incredible affirmation for the entire Yapital team.

THE smart solution

According to an expert, eight-person jury “Yapital positions itself with a smart solution against dominant competitors from oversees”. Adding that, “the payment service offers an innovative app that facilitates easy, convenient and secure transactions. In such a way, Yapital provides a real alternative to paying with a debit or credit card.”

For Nils Winkler, Yapital’s CEO the reward and the incentive are one and the same: “The ‘eco Internet Award’ impressively demonstrates, that we are on the right path. Special thanks are due to our entire team. From the beginning on, everyone has been completely committed to this project, putting their hearts and souls into it. Now we are reaping the benefits. At the same time, the prize is of course a huge motivation for us to keep at it with the same amount of passion, in order to convince even more people about Yapital. And we will do exactly that!”
Yapital competed with the Internet Marketing Services GmbH and the rabbit mobile GmbH in the final selection.

The Best in the Internet Industry

The Industry Association awards the eco Internet Award 2014. The year’s best in the industry have been determined. In front of around 400 guests at a festive event, the eco – The Association of the German Internet Industry e. V. – honored this year’s prize-winners with the eco Internet Award. Additionally, in collaboration with the National Association of German Start-ups, it also awarded the Internet Start-up Award and the Special Prize from the Digital Economy NRW organization.

Intense discussion preceded the decision made by the expert jury, consisting of Prof. Dr. Paul Alpar, Monika Grass, Frank Kemper, Prof. Dr. Claudia Loebbecke, Dr. Michael Opitz, Prof. Dr. Norbert Pohlmann, Gerd Simon and Bruno Wallraf. “The innovation strength of the industry is unbroken, says Harald A. Summa, managing director of eco, with exuberance. Today’s prize winners continue to contribute to the German Internet industry as an incredibly important motor, driving the industry in an impressive way.”
