Course Description

This eight-hour course will guide you through the concepts and solutions required to establish a resilient cloud adoption roadmap. You will start with laying a foundation to align for success in the cloud.

Our vendor-agnostic approach will explore why organizations move to the cloud and business (CXO), architecture, engineering, operations, and DevSecOps alignment strategies to guide your cloud journey. You will move directly into mastering four critical cloud controls:

1. Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM)
2. Cloud Infrastructure and Entity Management (CIEM)
3. Cloud Native Application Protection (CNAP)
4. Cloud Workload Protection Platform (CWPP)

Control strategies should be a core element of every cloud journey. Unlocking the opportunities that the critical controls offer is also vital. Topics like compliance, governance, enhanced threat detection with response, enabling innovation with agility, and cost optimization through security will all be covered.

Your final module will cover residual challenges, as no security approach provides complete resilience. We will share lessons from the field, practical solutions, and emerging challenges you should know.

Target Audience

If you are currently in or preparing for a role as a CXO, Cloud Architect, Cloud Engineer, Cloud Operations, or DevSecOps and want to understand the high-level strategy and core controls you need to be aware of, then this course is for you.

Prerequisites

You should have a basic understanding of cloud-related services like infrastructure as a service, platform as a service, and software as a service, as well as a good understanding of information technology and information technology security concepts for both on-premise and cloud environments.
