Three IT decisions makers at Golden-i 2014

ITnation is pleased to welcome the Prime Minister Xavier Bettel, the President & CEO of SES Karim Michel Sabbagh and the Director of the University Computing Service of Cambridge, Dr. Ian Lewis as keynote speakers during the Gala Golden-i, May 15, 2014 at the Casino 2000 of Mondorf-les-Bains.

For the first speaker Xavier Bettel, information technology and communication must gain importance in Luxembourg. The Prime Minister has said recently the importance to highlight the question of IT in Luxembourg : “We want an ICT revolution at all levels: among citizens, businesses and state level itself same.” This event will be an opportunity for Xavier Bettel who is also minister of Communications and Media to speak once again about the importance that IT must have today in Luxembourg.

The second speaker during the gala will Karim Michel Sebbagh, the President and CEO of SES, and the Chairman of the Executive Committee. In Luxembourg, SES is providing reliable and secure satellite communications solutions to broadcast, telecom, corporate and government customers worldwide. Prior to joining SES, Mr. Sabbagh was a Senior Partner and a global practice leader for communications, media & technology at Booz & Company. At Board and Chief Executive levels, he has shaped and served the strategic agenda of global players in the communications, media and satellite sectors.

Ian Lewis (photo), the third and final speaker is director of the University Computing Service of Cambridge. The University is a complex organisation of highly able knowledge workers and this requires a sophisticated approach to enterprise-wide service provision. Prior to taking up the Cambridge position in 2005, Ian was Global CIO for Merrill Lynch Investment Banking based in New York, with prior experience in technology for international finance based in both Europe and the USA.
