Thomson Reuters announced a global alliance with salesforce.com, the enterprise cloud computing company, which allows Thomson Reuters to deliver innovative wealth management offerings to its customers.

The agreement advances Thomson Reuters Wealth Management strategy to serve the independent advisor market, as well as deliver enhanced client management functionality to the wealth management investment community throughout the world, particularly in financial markets in Asia and the Middle East.

Thomson Reuters will use Force.com, salesforce.com’s cloud computing platform, to build a new web based application for independent financial advisors.. Force.com provides a complete application development environment for quickly building business applications that run in the cloud. Applications built on Force.com benefit from the reliability, scalability and security of salesforce.com’s proven global service infrastructure. Selecting Force.com for the Thomson Reuters Wealth Management strategy will ultimately enable financial advisors to provide better and enhanced service for their clients.
