Mr Simon, you chose to join exigo, why did you make this choice?

I saw good possibilities to bring in my IT experience in an agile company with a wide variety of solutions in the consulting and advisory business.

When we look through your resume we notice that you have a skill that becomes more and more rare on the market today: IBM Notes (previously called Lotus Notes). Can you tell me more about your work experience?

I started in 1996 as an IBM Notes Developer for a service company in the German credit card market.

I implemented solutions in IBM Notes for internal purposes with the integration of IBM Notes Workflow applications with classic mainframe software.

Starting from 2003 in a company in the dairy production sector, I gained experience in the administration of IBM Domino.

The ability to run IBM Domino on different platforms like IBM System and Microsoft Windows Server made it easy to build robust solutions on Domino clusters.

Why did you choose to keep this rare skill?

IBM Notes was and is a stable platform for companies.

Throughout time it was possible to (re-)use applications from version to version and most of the time without any code or design changes.

That made it a reliable partner in the daily business.

What can you bring to your clients? How can you improve your client’s company?

I worked as administrator and developer for smaller and larger companies in different business sectors.

That gave me insights and practical experience from different angles, so that i can give this know how to our clients.

Which projects are you currently working on?

At the moment we are finishing a Windows domain migration from a damaged Windows Server 2008 environment with Citrix.

The new platform is a clustered and redundant virtualized Windows 2012 R2 Terminal Server solution.
