LuxCloud, the cloud service distributor, and KPN, the provider of telecommunications and IT services in The Netherlands, have formed a partnership to jointly create a suite of cloud based products.

The partnership with LuxCloud will enable KPN to increase its already extensive cloud portfolio, whilst maintaining its focus on the marketing, sales and distribution of services. It will introduce KPN’s customers to new and innovative products; including Hosted365, LuxCloud’s virtual desktop offering full access from any location, 24/7. Improving response time thus, generating higher levels of productivity and revenue, whilst being fully compliant with European data privacy laws.

Cloud Service for the ARPU growth

The partnership between LuxCloud and KPN brings many benefits, including cost savings, increased productivity and reduced churn. KPN will receive higher ARPU’s (Average Revenue Per User) and higher margins, with a reduced time-to-market and CAPEX (capital expenditure).

“We are excited about our collaboration with LuxCloud and know it will strengthen our position in the telecoms’ market,” said Omar Benameur, Director SaaS & Workspace Management, KPN, “LuxCloud offers a highly scalable technology platform which empowers our own products; we anticipate full customer satisfaction thereby reducing churn.”

Bundling KPN’s telecom products with the LuxCloud portfolio offers new and existing resellers the opportunity to give their customers one-stop-shopping. Developing this competitive advantage along with improved customer satisfaction propels LuxCloud towards becoming a next generation IT distributor.

Marco Houwen, Founder and CEO, LuxCloud said, “We at LuxCloud are delighted to partner with KPN, an industry leader in online software distribution, and look forward to working closely with KPN on future strategies.” Marco continued, “LuxCloud believes in the importance of white label cloud brokers and with KPN validating this belief, we will work together to deliver a platform to support businesses, improving their access to cloud services, whilst maintaining a fully secure environment.”

KPN, the leading provider of telecommunications and IT services in The Netherlands, boasts 6.3m fixed line customers, 2.5m Internet customers, and 1.4m TV customers; KPN Mobile has just under 10m subscribers in The Netherlands but with its subsidiary companies in Germany, Belgium, France and Spain, this number increases to over 36m.

Software Online, KPN’s answer to SaaS, was introduced in 2006 with the launch of Accountancy Online, Exchange Online and MyPConline; it has continued to grow this service by listening to its customers and matching their requirements. KPN found the balance between innovations versus operational excellence and is now one of the forerunners in the telecom industry offering SaaS to its customers; changing from a CSP to end-to-end ICT provider, KPN is set to become one of the leading operators offering managed online distribution of software to the SMB market.
