ILNAS has unveiled, on Thursday, November 27th, 2025, a new document directed at market stakeholders. Designed in an innovative format, it takes the form of a testimonial by a fictitious company highlighting its activities in technical standardization linked to cybersecurity. The publication was presented during a breakfast event wherein the evolution of the activities conducted by the “Organisme luxembourgeois de la confiance numérique” (OLCN, ILNAS’ Digital Trust department) of 2025 was also reflected upon.

This new publication has the objective to demonstrate, through a first-person testimony, market actors’ many advantages in engaging in technical standardization activities, whether by applying standards or actively contributing to their development.

The format also allows the audience to gain insight on the many topics within cybersecurity and information security that are covered by the strategic tool that is technical standardization. During the event, after a general introduction given by Dr. Jean-Philippe Humbert, deputy director of ILNAS, the interview’s characters were interpreted by members of the “Organisme luxembourgeois de normalisation” (OLN, ILNAS’ Technical Standardization department). An interactive audience session then took place, followed by a presentation of the year 2025’s OLCN activities, given by the department head, Mr. Alain Wahl.

It is important to recall that the OLCN is in charge of the execution of legal missions related to the eIDAS regulation on digital identification and signatures (Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 July 2014 on electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions in the internal market and repealing Directive 1999/93/EC), and the Cybersecurity Act on cybersecurity certification (Regulation (EU) 2019/881 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 April 2019 on ENISA (the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity) and on information and communications technology cybersecurity certification and repealing Regulation (EU) No 526/2013), as well as the execution of the legal mission related to the national framework applicable to providers of digitization or e-archiving services (“Prestataires de services de dématérialisation ou de conservation”, or PSDC).
