EuroCloud Luxembourg, the association of the Luxembourg Cloud computing and SaaS industry and member of the pan-European EuroCloud network, is pleased to announce the launch of the 3rd edition of the “EuroCloud Luxembourg Awards” in 2013.

This award program is organized with the support of ITnation.eu and the winners will be announced at the “Golden-i” Gala and Awards Ceremony” on 23rd of May 2013. Participation is aimed at providers of Cloud services that are active in the local market.

The “EuroCloud Luxembourg Awards” is a unique occasion to help increase the visibility of innovative local companies in the field of Cloud computing and SaaS and to help setting up a marketplace for Cloud computing and SaaS applications in Luxembourg. The winners of the EuroCloud Luxembourg Awards will also be given the opportunity to apply automatically for the EuroCloud European Awards 2013, alongside the other European countries. Winners of the local award programs will be presented at the European EuroCloud Congress on 15/16 of October 2013 in Luxembourg.

Best Start Up

We are seeking startup companies that distinguish themselves through innovative and particularly future oriented Cloud solutions. There is a special focus on the originality and creativity of the solution and its potential for significant impact. (Terms and Conditions for Start Ups are described separately)

Best Cloud Service Product 

This category is open to Cloud services that are best positioned for high market acceptance owing to the specific features provided. This special value can be determined by the capabilities offered; by the strong connectivity and interoperability of the service; and/or a more flexible and effective utilization of datacenter resources. Of course, conformity to best practices in data security, data privacy and compliance is a must have requirement.

Best Case Study Example of Cloud Services for the Private Sector

In this category, the underlying business approach for a broad and comprehensive use of Cloud services will be evaluated in business enterprises. Along with the attractiveness of the offered services, the achievable benefits and competitive advantage for the customer are of interest, as well as new and pioneering marketing and sales concepts.

Best Case Study Example of Cloud Services for Public Sector 

Also in this category, the underlying business approach for a broad and comprehensive use of Cloud services will be evaluated, but here the focus is on services for the government. Along with the attractiveness of the offered services, the achievable benefits for citizens or institutions are of interest as well as new and pioneering marketing and sales concepts.

  • Any company that is established in Luxembourg can apply for the EuroCloud Luxembourg Awards. By ‘established’, we mean that the company has to either have their headquarters, or at least one office, in Luxembourg and its products or services are offered on the local market.
  • Companies that are applying for the category ‘Start-Up’, cannot have been active in the Luxembourg market for longer than 3 years.
  • Companies can apply for several categories.
  • The winners of the EuroCloud Luxembourg Awards can automatically participate as nominees in the EuroCloud Europe Awards and the company and/or product will be presented at the European Congress on 15/16 of October 2013 in Luxembourg. All documentation for the European Awards must be in English.

No, the application for a EuroCloud Luxembourg Awards is free.

  • All application documents, data and presentations by EuroCloud Luxembourg and the judges are kept confidential and used only for purposes of application processing, appraisal and any presentation as part of the award ceremony.

Nominees and winners are determined by the judges. The decision is final. The decision of the panel of judges will be announced after the end of the application deadline to http://www.itnation.lu/eurocloud-awards.  Should there be less than three companies that apply to a particular category; EuroCloud Luxembourg reserves the right not to award anyone for that category.

The application process starts with completing the online application form at http://www.itnation.lu/eurocloud-awards. At the end of the form you have the option to send us your completed application documents in the file upload option. This should include:

  • A brief profile, with reasons for why your company should win the prize (max. 1 A4 page)
  • Your product or business presentation. You have a free hand in the design of how this shall be presented – but please make sure that our judges are provided with meaningful information! Make clear, why your solution deserves an award.

Important:

The application language for the “EuroCloud Luxembourg Award” is in English.

The application deadline is 22/04/2013. The presentation of the Awards will be held on 23/05/2013, at the “Golden-i” Gala and Awards Ceremony in an exclusive setting.
