EURid chooses EBRC Trusted Services Europe

The .eu Internet Top Level Domain infrastructure will be powered by the Luxembourg-based state-of-the art Data Centre of EBRC. EBRC (European Business Reliance Centre) is proud to onboard EURid Asbl, the registry manager of the .eu country code Top-Level Domain*.

Since 2003 EURid is the .eu registry manager upon appointment of the European Commission. Any company, organisation or individual residing within the European Union, in Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway can register a .eu domain name. .eu has become a key extension of today’s Internet, especially fitting the SMEs wishing to expand their business beyond their national borders.

By joining the state-of-the-art Tier IV Data Centre of EBRC, in the heart of Europe, EURid’s IT infrastructure will be significantly enhanced to operate the currently 3.9 million registered .eu domain names and be ready for the next million.

Based in Luxembourg, EBRC is the sole company worldwide running three certified Tier IV Data Centres. The EBRC Resilience Centre South is granted by a “Tier IV Fault-Tolerant Constructed Facility” certification delivered by the Uptime Institute ensuring the highest level of availability and security to EURid.
