Dimension Data Financial Services Luxembourg, provider of IT solutions and services, received the ISO 9001:2008 certification, the international standard for quality management. It achieved this certification within only nine months.

The ISO 9001:2008 certification demonstrates the engagement of Dimension Data in quality management and commitment to its clients. The ISO 9001:2008 standard not only sets high requirements regarding the quality policy of an organisation, but also focuses on the measures taken to increase client satisfaction.

The certification and audit process was performed by Bureau Veritas.  “The market increasingly considers certifications as important, we can see that very clearly in our public procurements, Pierre Dumont, Managing Director of Dimension Data Luxembourg commented. That’s why last year we initiated the application procedure. Obtaining the certification is a reward for our employees’ work and the high level of quality that is maintained within our company”.

Dimension Data earned the ISO 9001:2008 certification in only 9 months. “It might seem challenging, but Dimension Data had long been working on its internal systems and processes to improve the quality of its services; the fast process is the result of these efforts. As a service-oriented company, enhancing client’s satisfaction is very important to us: we do this through the effective application of standard ways of working for continual improvement”.

“The implementation of the Quality Management System is not achieved by merely describing the processes – they also have to actually work. The timeframe in which we earned the certificate tends to show that it is the case with us.” Dimension Data is considering applying for the ISO 27001 in the near future.
