Some companies such as IBM, Facebook or Microsoft, already demonstrated how corporations can save money if given the right tools: Centralize documents and translations for collaborative work instead of inefficiently sending back and forth copies of documents by email as is mostly the case. Move to the web instead of installing software on a PC.

It does not matter whether people are in-house staff, translators, subject matter experts or external translation agencies: Anyone involved in the translation project can use the collaborative platform and the work in progress can be tracked in real-time.

The driving force in the industry is not the translation professional but the corporations based on the most likely acceptance and generalization of Crowd Translation over the next years.
