The IndiaTimes publishes today that the outsourcing contrat of ABN-Amro will be renewed with at least three of the first five partners, like IBM, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Accenture, Infosys and Patni for a 1 Billion $ contrat on 5 years.

The Dutch bank ABN Amro « is set to renew its contracts for managing the bank’s software applications and computer hardware systems with IBM, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Infosys Technologies », reports the IndiaTimes. The initial contrat was signed in 2005 for 5 years and with a budget of 2 Billions $. The goal was to save 250 M$ and prepare the bank for the future.

The renewal will concern IBM, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Infosys Technologies. ABM Amro is also quiet wel occupied with the revisted merge with Fortis. « IBM is also working on an integration plan for ABN Amro and Fortis, and aims to consolidate the IT systems by 2012, a person familiar with the process added to The IndiaTimes reporter. »
