As a Tech Lead / Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture and development of our innovative AI platform for call and chat agents. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the AI platform’s backend, ensuring robust and scalable architecture.
• Innovate and contribute to the overall architecture and design of the platform, focusing on scalability and performance.
• Implement backend services using Azure Function Apps or Google Cloud Functions and manage APIs.
• Enhance voice management architecture, including VAD development, audio chunking, speech-to-text, and text-to-speech functionalities.
• Handle telephony integrations with Twilio for seamless customer interactions.
• Manage and optimize databases such as Cosmos DB and Firestore for live data and user profiles.
• Integrate AI models using Azure OpenAI, Vertex AI, and similar tools for advanced search and response functionalities.

Requirements

• Proven track record in leading backend development projects, including experience with microservices architecture and REST API development.
• Minimum 3 years of cloud development experience with Azure; familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.
• Expertise in voice engineering (e.g., VAD development, audio formatting) or telephony platforms such as Twilio.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, and C#.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a focus on creating scalable backend solutions.
• Experience with cloud services including Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, Azure OpenAI, Vertex AI, Firestore, and Cloud Functions.

Nice to Have

• Experience with voice engineering libraries/tools such as node-vad, Google Cloud Speech-to-Text, ElevenLabs, or similar.
• Familiarity with telephony integrations and advanced voice processing technologies.
• Knowledge of AI model integration for search and response functionalities.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
