ERP Program Manager from YCP
Skillbourg

YCP Renoir’s transformation practice helps some of the world’s leading organisations translate business strategy into executable programmes that deliver measurable, sustainable change. We are seeking a Program Manager to lead a live, multi-entity ERP readiness engagement end-to-end owning delivery across five interlocking workstreams, from current-state baselining through strategy, KPIs and the Business Requirements Document, to master data governance and a Systems-Integrator-ready handover.
This role carries single-threaded accountability for the programme: it is the seat that keeps every requirement anchored to a strategic goal, every workstream on plan, and the client SteerCo confident. It is a high-visibility opportunity to make an impact both with our client and within our firm.
Engagement Context
• A multi-entity chemicals group running nine country ERPs with a master data focus, SAP S/4HANA is the selected group direction.
• Phase 1 (Data Discovery) has produced 100+ stakeholder interviews, a categorised pain-point log root-cause findings, process-review deep-dives and a nine-chapter High-Level BRD.
• The programme now moves from discovery into requirements sign-off, master-data governance and SI-ready packaging , the phase this Program Manager will own and drive to a go/ no-go decision.
Role Summary
The Program Manager owns scope, plan, budget, risk, quality and stakeholder governance across multiple workstreams. You will run the SteerCo, hold the delivery plan and RAID log, harmonise decisions across entities and functions, and ensure the programme produces a coherent, vendor-agnostic, SI-ready output. SAP S/4HANA delivery experience is strongly preferred so you can challenge design and estimation credibly and, where needed, act
Key Responsibilities
Programme leadership & governance
• Hold single-threaded accountability for the engagement plan, budget, milestones, dependencies and the RAID log across multiple workstreams
• Chair the client SteerCo and workstream stand-ups; prepare decision-grade materials and secure timely decisions and sign-offs.
• Define and enforce delivery governance , stage gates, quality bars, decision rights (group-owned vs locally adaptable vs local) and escalation paths.
Strategy, KPI & requirements assurance
• Facilitate executive ‘North Star’ alignment and ensure every ERP requirement traces to a strategic goal and a measurable KPI.
• Sponsor KPI harmonisation (margin, forecast accuracy, OTIF, inventory turns and similar) so group analytics measure the same thing everywhere.
• Govern the Business Requirements Document to the register standard: one-sentence, testable, vendor-agnostic requirements, each traceable to source evidence.
Fit-to-Standard & SI readiness
• Oversee SAP S/4HANA Fit-to-Standard workshops, ensuring only genuine gaps are logged and the benefit case is made where new controls add work.
• Own the SI-ready package , requirements register, master-data framework, integration blueprint, benefits and estimation , and the go / no-go gate before an SI engages the countries.
• Direct the phased transition, including the ‘double-jump’ readiness logic for less-mature sites (pre-standardisation before ERP).
Master data, risk & change
• Drive the master-data governance and ownership model, hierarchy principles, critical-field definitions, data-quality KPIs and migration prioritisation to sign-off.
• Manage programme-level risk, control and compliance exposure (audit trail, segregation of duties, intercompany consistency, export-control screening).
• Lead stakeholder management and change adoption, anticipating needs and resolving cross-entity conflict before it reaches the SteerCo.
Requirements
Essential
• Bachelor’s degree or above in business, engineering, information systems, finance or a related discipline.
• 8-10 years Demonstrable track record managing complex, multi-workstream ERP or business-transformation programmes end-to-end (scope, plan, budget, RAID, governance).
• Proven ability to run a client SteerCo and hold senior stakeholders, up to executive level, to decisions and timelines.
• Strong ability to connect business strategy to operational KPIs and translate them into testable, vendor-agnostic ERP requirements and controls.
• Experience of the Fit-to-Standard approach and of holding the client-side line on scope, gaps and estimation.
• Excellent oral and written communication in English; able to zoom out to strategy and zoom into detail.
Strongly preferred
• 4-6 years hands-on ERP/SAP S/4HANA delivery experience across one or more full lifecycles, sufficient to challenge SI design, solutioning and estimation credibly (and to substitute for a departing programme lead).
• Prior consulting-firm experience and familiarity with large, multi-national transformation programmes.
• Experience across the European region; multi-entity / multi-ERP harmonisation exposure.
• Familiarity with master-data governance, integration architecture and regulated-industry compliance (an understanding and appreciation of the consultancy lifestyle).
