We are seeking an ERP Master Data Consultant to join a live ERP readiness engagement, owning the master-data workstream that ensures clean, trustworthy data is loaded into the client’s new SAP S/4HANA environment. Job Description

YCP Renoir is looking for a Master Data specialist with strong SAP S/4HANA experience and a rigorous, hands-on approach to data profiling, cleansing, and governance. You will size and fix product, vendor, and customer master data before it enters the new ERP , turning “the data is a mess” into a counted, costed, prioritised clean-up plan , and prepare load-ready data packs for the pilot site. You must be comfortable defining the taxonomy and governance rules that stop legacy problems being replicated into the new system and working within a Fit-to-Standard design approach.

Responsibilities

• Extract and profile product, vendor, and customer master data across entities; identify duplicates, dormant records, and attributes wrongly encoded as separate records (e.g. packaging, brand, territory, or currency variants).

• Define the group data taxonomy and the “unique record vs. variant” rules, moving variants to dimensions rather than new codes.

• Build de-duplication and merge logic (e.g. one supplier held under multiple vendor codes consolidated to a single golden record) and quantify the clean-up effort per entity.

• Establish the master-data governance model , ownership, maintenance rules, and data-quality standards , for the new ERP.

• Produce data quality baselines (completeness, uniqueness, validity) and prepare clean, load-ready data packs, prioritising the pilot site ahead of the readiness gate.

• Work with SAP master data structures (material, business partner / vendor / customer, and related objects) within a Fit-to-Standard design.

• Provide effort estimation and clean-up plans that feed the wider program and the SI-ready package and support the sequencing of later deployment waves.

• Operate cross-functionally, anticipating stakeholder needs and resolving data issues before they block the program.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in systems engineering, information systems, business management, or a related discipline.

• 4+ years’ hands-on experience in ERP data migration, master data management, or ERP readiness, with demonstrable SAP S/4HANA experience.

• Strong command of SAP master-data structures and, ideally, SAP MDG or comparable master-data tooling.

• Proven profiling, cleansing, de-duplication, taxonomy, and governance skills, able to work directly with large, messy data sets and quantify remediation effort.

• Familiarity with the Fit-to-Standard approach and how master data underpins standard ERP functionality.

• Strong analytical and process background; comfortable moving between detailed data work and the program- level clean-up plan.

• Preferably previous employment in a consulting firm and familiarity with large multinational transformation projects.

• Strong sense of prioritization and the ability to execute on deliverables.

• An understanding and appreciation of the consultancy lifestyle.

• Experience in the European region is preferred.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

3-month contract length with the possibility of extension
